Transport Van Overveld and Heijboer Transport have decided to further strengthen their partnership. The more intensive partnership will increase the benefits for all those concerned, not least the customers.

With this new alliance the transport companies are setting out to keep the transport costs under control, to reduce the 'empty kilometres' and to regulate the number of both companies' lorries at the loading and unloading locations more efficiently. Other focal points include communication in the sales area and the use of each other's facilities. This covers aspects such as specific trailer types and storage and transhipment developments in the area of safety and security.

The excellent working relationship between the companies over many years can be attributed the geographical location of the companies and the fact that they are both specialists in different areas of the transport market. Broadening the benefits of synergy has already borne fruit.  The advantages to the environment and to costs and services are expected to lead to more (local) companies joining the alliance in the future.
